Many of Oleana's designs are inspired by rich Norwegian folk costume tradition, but they always try to make new modern designs, not copying old artifacts. Many of Oleana's designs have a long history and are prime examples of how the "cultural rivers" flow across the countries and continents.

Oleana's collection always consists of new designs along with those that have been in the collection many years. This constantly creates opportunities for new combinations and variations. Many of the garments can be worn for both everyday and more formal occasions, depending on the accessories. The collection consists of knitted garments, skirts, coats, belts, wrist-warmers - all produced in Oleana's own factory in Espeland near Bergen, Norway.
